Zoe Harte is SVP of human resources and talent innovation at Upwork. She’s been instrumental in driving the growth of Upwork’s team by more than 50% since its merger (Elance/oDesk) in 2014, reducing voluntary attrition by 75% and fostering a culture where Upwork’s diverse team brings their whole selves to work each day. She had her start in the industry as a staffing coordinator at Yahoo! and spent 10 years in various staffing/HR and operational roles before joining Rovi in 2008 as their director of HR. Harte has also contributed to developing Upwork’s enterprise compliance solution and to date, the team has efficiently enabled compliant freelancer engagements at scale for enterprise clients that include nearly 20% of the Fortune 500. She also is a board member for human rights group Access: Women’s Health Justice.
