Yukiko Nagashima joined Recruit Holdings in 1985. After gaining experience in the recruitment advertising business, she moved to the HR department in 1995, where she was the head of hiring and training. In 2006, she was promoted to corporate executive officer, one of only three female board members in Recruit’s history. Nagashima was appointed president and representative director of Recruit Staffing in 2008, and promoted to president in 2013. Nagashima is chairman of the Japan Staffing Services Association and president,as well asa representative director, of Asia Pacific for the International Confederation of Private Employment Services (World Employment Confederation, formerly Ciett).
