Sue Burnett is founder and CEO of Burnett Specialists, the 19th-largest employee-owned company in the US. A rarity in the industry, a majority of Burnett’s full-time staff and 534 contingents are vested owners in the company. In 2017, Burnett added to her lengthy list of career accomplishments: Burnett Specialists was ranked the Largest Direct Hire Placement Firm and third on the Largest Temporary Staffing Firm in Houston list the Houston Business Journal; the National Diversity Council named Burnett one of the Most Powerful Businesswomen in Texas; and ground was broken on the Sue Walk Burnett Media Center at the University of Arkansas.
