Melissa J. Porter is chief sales officer at Select Staffing. Porter joined the firm in 1995 after Select acquired her own staffing firm in Upland, Calif. Since joining Select, Porter has helped expand it from $125 million in revenue to more than $2 billion. She began her career at Volt Temporary Services as a sales specialist before starting her own firm in 1990. In addition to serving as chief sales manager, Porter also oversees Select’s client data solutions department. Select ranks as the ninth-largest US staffing firm. However, this year, Select’s owners acquired staffing provider Employ- Bridge, the 17th-largest US staffing firm.
