Marisa Zaharoff has managed Cross Country Healthcare’s branch network since 2014 and in January became president of Cross Country Staffing’s branch operations. Under Zaharoff’s leadership, Cross Country Staffing’s per diem division, Medical Staffing Network, has jumped to the top spot on SIA’s list of largest per diem nursing firms in the US with 7% market share — a strong achievement considering just four years ago it did not rank in the top 10. Zaharoff brings firsthand insight into the challenges faced by the clinicians her division helps place; in addition to previous experience as a bedside nurse, she has also worked as a travel RN.
