In 1978, Janice Bryant Howroyd founded ActOne Group with a $600 loan from her mother. Today, as CEO of the $1 billion enterprise, she leads from one principle: “Never compromise who you are personally to become who you wish to be professionally.” Among the causes she actively pursues are women in business, social justice and anti-racism, STEM education and access to education for all. Known in her socials and to friends as JBH, she channeled her passion into the 2019 launch of AllSTEM Connections to purposefully connect companies with STEM workers — and to support an inclusive STEM community of talent as they develop careers.
