In 1978, Janice Bryant Howroyd started a company with a phone line and a $900 loan from her mother. That company, ActOne Group, is now a billion-dollar enterprise. As CEO, her one overarching goal is to inspire her team members to stay true to the core values that make their organization so successful. A staunch proponent of STEM education and employment, Howroyd channeled her passion into the 2019 launch of AllSTEM Connections, its STEM recruiting division, which not only connects companies with STEM workers but supports STEM talent as they develop their careers.
