Chihiro Ueda was appointed president of Recruit Holdings’ HR Technology Fund in January 2015. In addition to her role as fund manager, Ueda was also appointed an executive manager of Recruit Holdings and has been one of the company’s key players in its investment and M&A activities. Ueda first joined Recruit in 1999 and since 2007 has focused on identifying and addressing inefficiencies in the HR industry. She was appointed general manager of the company’s online recruitment business in 2011 and promoted to senior manager in 2012. Ueda was promoted again in 2014 to manager, international business development and international online marketing business.
